Windows 8.1 or Win7

I have just built a new computer, and was going to just put Win7 on it. But i had pause to think.. and now i don't know if it'S better to stick with Win7 or go for Win 8.1

I'm not running on a touch screen, it will be connected to my TV. And will probably just look to use Win8 just like i've always used Win7.

What would you reccomend 7 or 8 and why?

For gaming performance win 8 is slightly better inmost games. Not enough to upgrade in my opinion, but if you were buying a new OS, then I would go with Win 8.1 .

go for win 7 or win 8
win 7:as you know how friendly it is
win8 :good os with new features( fast boot...etc)
both are good for games
win8.1 and win8 there is no big difference in appearance but you will surely face compatibility issues with win8.1
you can google how many problems win8.1 has with compatibility.
choice is yours!!
