I installed Windows 8.1 since I couldn't see the icon to register my copy of Windows 10 and I also couldn't install 3 updates. Now I have all of the updates that I was missing and I went around the web and also saw that the specific update that adds the ability to do the registration. I then looked in my updates to see if I had it and I do. I just don't know why I am not able to register for a copies of Windows 10.

Solution
Go to pc settings and then Update and recovery, and then click Windows Update. Click check now.
After the update is complete and computer restarts, you'll be able to update.
Very best

Look at the bottom of your screen with those little icons at the bottom right. It should have a windows symbol there. Click it
