Hello,
I'm having a pretty frustrating problem. See, the thing is that I want to reserve Windows 10 to get it when it comes out in July.
But I can't, because my computer has Windows 8.1 Pro, and when you upgrade from Windows 8.1 Pro, you get Windows 10 Pro.
However, my product/activation/whatever key for Windows 8.1 Pro is invalid, due to the fact that Windows 8.1 Pro was installed after my computer was wiped after a failure in the installation of Ubuntu Linux.
So, without losing any of my files (Metro apps are okay to lose, I don't mind losing those), I want to downgrade my Windows 8.1 Pro to plain Windows 8.1 without having to buy anything.
So, is it possible? I hope so!
