Windows 8.1 - Running a certain game causes windows to freeze, triggering restart loop

I have a HP Envy 15 j125tx notebook,
As the title says, there are 2 games which i have
that freezes my computer when i launch them,
and i had to manually switch it off using the power button.

Weirdly enough, the 2 games i had were playable before
the problem happened. I never had a problem with these
2 games as they did not require much specs. Only these
2 games freezes when launching (does not go into the game
and freeze), but other games which require more memory
and are more graphically intensive run flawlessly.

-Tried uninstalling & reinstalling the games but to no avail.

So I do not think my specs are having issues.
All other programs gaming/non gaming work flawlessly.

When i turned it back on, it was stuck in a restart loop.
- It can boot up fine in safemode
- It can boot up fine when i enable debugging in the restart options,
after enabling debugging, i can restart the computer with no boot
problems in normal mode.

Any thoughts of what might be causing it?

Are these games legally obtained?

Regardless, first thing to look for is driver issues and virus infections. Update and check for viruses.

Yes they are free to play legally obtained games, did a scan and no viruses were found. The drivers are up to date.

Game names? Free-To-Play games are almost as questionable as pirated games when it comes to having viruses or poor programming.

Growtopia and Blackshot (PlayOne Asia)

When I launch them from the .exe, the cursor switches to processing
and the whole pc freezes. Could not open task manager, mouse and
keyboard stops responding.

Did chkdsk but everything is ok.
