Windows 8.1 Setup not detecting HDD n SSD

I just build my new pc but windows setup is not detecting ssd n hdd. I m installing windows from usb 2.0 flash drive.

In bios both hdd n ssd are shown.

Please reply asap

Make sure if you are installing from a USB drive that you are connected via a USB 2 port and NOT a USB 3 one, if you only have USB 3 then you will need to supply the drivers for it during the installation process

I have connected my pen drive to usb 2.0 port (the black one 😛 )

And ssd n hdd to sata 6 gbps ports on motherboard both these are detected in bios but don't get detected in win 8 setup

It sounds like you need motherboard drivers then, when you are in your Windows install and it says no hard drive detected it will give you the option of locating drivers, try both the USB hub drivers for your motherboard AND the hard drive sata controller drivers

I tried windows 7 setup it shiowed the ssd n hdd but window 8 don't show them.

Any guess? Why?
