Windows 8.1 update 1 any performance improvement ?

Hey guys

as you know Update 1 for Windows 8.1 is out . i have read about the Changes made to UI

but is there any Performance boost ?

i mean will i get little bit more FPS by Updating to windows 8.1.1 ?


simply compare windows 8.1 vs Windows 8.1.1 ( performance Wise , gaming )

Not really. Its more security and a few tweaks to MetroUI. I haven't noticed any speed differences, but I also run off of a SSD so I wouldn't notice them anyhow.

Sorry, but there will be no performance increase for gaming, at least not that I have seen. The main reason to get Update 1 is this:

"This month (May), Microsoft will stop delivering security patches to Windows 8.1 installations without the Update. That version will cease to be safe."
