Windows 8 64-bit only 3.2 GB RAM available out of 4

I recently updated my 32 bit operating system to a 64 bit one. The computer recognizes that 4 gb of RAM are installed, but it only uses 3.2 GB. Is this supposed to happen, or is there a way to get it to use the remaining RAM?

do u have a integrated graphic card if so it will utilize somethimes some of your ram

Windows itself uses some of that memory. And as mentioned, the video buffer also uses some. You will have considerably less than 4GB available normally.
