Windows 8 compatible graphics card

I've been looking for a new graphics card for a while now, but I'm pretty new to the whole thing. All I want is a graphics card that has 256 MB VRAM, so I can play certain games (like Counter-Strike). What are the graphics cards that are compatible with Windows 8 that I could get (preferably something cheap).

Any GPU is compatible with win8 it depends on the actual system like mobo, PSU, I recommend something like a GTX750, It's a solid GPU for the price and has great performance although I don't know your budget.

but for real, if you wanna play counter strike just get a cheap AMD, like real cheap like 6570 cheap, unless its that new counter strike game, to be honest, a graphics card choice is based not only around the games you play but the preferences you have towards settings as well as your screens native res. also , the rest of your computer plays a role in what graphics cards you get as you get into the higher performance GPU's. ESPECIALLY the PSU as stated in the response above. More information would be required to give you the "best" choice.

OP, a r7 250 or 260 would do.
First one is $100
second is $150-and obviously better.
Both should handle CS-GO for example.
