Hello guys,

I just created this account as I have a really frustrating situation and I don't know what to do.

The problem started when my notebook which is an Asus S200E (Windows 8) displayed a message which showed "Your pc has run into a problem and needs to restart", instead of deciding it to restart (silly me!), I manually restarted using the power button.

This is where the real problem came up. the notebook showed the BIOS screen which when I try to exit or restart my notebook, it loads back into BIOS. I have tried many options. I have even contacted Asus and they asked me to press F9 to confirm optimized defaults which didn't work and they didn't seem to understand the problem.

Hopefully some of you can really help me! Thank you.

Well, you will need to reset the BIOS configurations, update your drivers as follows:

A) Reset BIOS Configurations:

1. Restart your computer.
2. Press F2 or Delete key repeatedly.
3. Select "Exit" -> "Restore default settings".
4. Select "Exit" -> "Save and exit settings".

B) Update Drivers:

1. Click Start, type "Device Manager" in the Search Box and press ENTER.
2. Expand the top category on the left hand side of the screen.
3. Right click a device driver, say your graphics card, and select "Update driver software".
4. Follow the on-screen wizard.
5. Reboot your machine.
