Windows 8 crashing (URGENT PLEASE HELP ME I CANT USE MY PC)

Hello, I'm memeroot And I'm new here
I have a nvidia geforce 9800 gx2, installed with the newest drivers. Everytime I try to play a game, or run anything that uses the gpu, I get a black screen and if there was sound playing, I just get a really annoying sound and I have to reboot my pc. I am running windows 8. PLease help!

pentium G260 2.6GHZ 2 cores
8 gb DDR3 ram
stock cooler
silent pro 1000w power supply
directx 10
nvidia geforce 9800 gx2
1 tb 7800rpm hard drive

It has now come to black lines going up and down the screen, and small "black outs" where the monitor stops recieving a signal for a split second

reload drivers, if that doesnt help your gpu is probably bad, considering that thing is way old and uses alot of juice.

Start with updating the graphics driver: http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/57096. If that doesn't work, open the case, remove the card and then plug it back in. Might just be bad seating in the slot.

Probably bad card. They aren't new and they ran hot.

windows 8 enterprise -- you sure the crack didn't mess with the core windows files?

pentium G620 as a gaming cpu?

make sure the whole rig is built correctly, cpu hsf seated correctly etc

i have a budget gaming system with a G620, works better than you might think
