Hi,

I have juste installed Windows 8 (64 bits) on my Core i7 first gen. I know i have 3 bars of 6 Gegs ram; but the compter reads only 6. I find the computer a bit slow... how can i make my PC sees my total amount of RAM.

Merci

Yves

Just saw someone who know computers, and in fact I have 3 bars of 2 Gegs. Thank you for all your help; it convinced me to see someone.

Hello,

You don't really see 6gb sticks of ram. I suspect that you have 3 x 2GB sticks of ram or something like a 4GB stick and two 1 GB sticks.

If you could take the sticks out and have a look on the label to just confirm.

32 bit windows would only be showing a little less then 4gb... something like 3.83gb of ram or some such nonsense.

Correct. Just went back and re-read the fellow's issue.

Perhaps this is just a gag thread? It doesn't seem to make much sense and the grammar is poor.
