hi guys I wondered if you could help me I just wanted to know if you get a computer with windows 8.1 can you change to windows 7 and does it cost money

When in 8 1st came out, if you had the Pro version, you could , for free down grade to win 7, I don't know if this is still true, but if you don't have Win8 pro, you will need to buy a copy of win 7. You also need to check if there are win 7 drivers for your system (on the mfg's web site)

Yes, the retail 8/8.1 Pro has downgrade rights to Windows 7 Pro.

But why spend extra money on Pro features that you will never need, just to downgrade to Windows 7 Pro, with extra features you will never need/use.
