In the upcoming month I hope to have a new build strictly for gaming. To save money, I was hoping to skimp out on a DVD drive and download a copy of Windows 8 to a USB drive and boot from it. Is this possible? What if I bought an OEM disk and ripped it to a USB drive?

*EDIT* Legally, of course. I'll be buying it off of Microsoft's site.

Solution
Buy the OEM version, best have an Installation disk in case things go wrong in the future. I use Infra Recorder to copy the disk as an ISO and YUMI to install the ISO on to a USB Flash
