Hello, I have a custom built computer and I am running windows 8 on an i3-4130. I have two drives, a 60gb ssd and a 1tb hdd. Windows 8 is installed on the ssd for speed and performance. My files and programs are installed onto the hard drive. Windows will not let me add folders to my favourites in file explorer from the hard drive, how do i fix this?

Solution

Right click on Favorites
Select "Add current location to Favorites"

Hello there USAFRet, sorry but this does not appear to work, there appears to be a problem with the favourites category itself, as the add to favourites button is entirely unresponsive.

Thank you for your help

hmm....Works on mine (8.1 Pro)
I just made a new folder on a drive, and added it to the Favorites links.

When you try it, what does it do? What error message?

Windows 8 file commander was not recognising the hard drive folders, i needed to add a missing file, reboot and then try again. I cant remember the error message code, but its fixed now, many thanks for your interest.

Glad you got it fixed.
