I had to reset my od Toshiba Encore 8 inch tablet (2014) and, after the reset, my Windows 8 operating system has disappeared and I can no longer use my tablet. I cannot access the internet on the tablet. Any suggestions to reinstall any Windows version ? I do have Recovery Key 18A87F90, but I don't know where to enter the key or if it will help. Thank you!

How did you "reset" the tablet? Do you get ANYTHING on the screen?

I've seen this happen before on HP Stream tablets and to be honest you are probably going to have to get a micro USB to USB A adapter and reinstall Windows from flash drive. You will need to create the installation media from another computer which you can do here:

And you might actually have to connect a USB hub to your micro USB to USB A adapter if you need to use a keyboard or mouse for the installation as often it wants to work in desktop mode until Windows is installed but some of them will automatically default to installing in tablet mode.

Thank you for your reply. I reset the tablet from Recovery where I chose to have everything removed and have Windows reinstalled. Unfortunately, Windows did not install
I have an adapter to use a mouse so I will give your suggestion a try, but I don't have my original Windows product key.

If the product came with an OEM Windows license, it should automatically activate as soon as you connect to the internet regardless of whether you have a key or not. Just select "I do not have a key" during the installation and then continue as normal. If you have a Microsoft account, use that during the installation but if not you might need to create one as part of the process. Either way, it should not affect the activation which is attached directly to the product ID of your tablet.
