Windows 8 inbox driver vs manufacturer's CD

I just got a new Epson WF-3620 printer set up with the Windows 8 inbox drivers and I'm wondering if there is any benefit from installing the software from the CD, aside from getting the included OCR software.

Its better to install the maker's drivers not let windows install them
