windows 8 indexing content

Hello. I have a desktop PC running Windows 7 and a laptop running Windows 8.1. I have managed to set up my desktop (Windows 7) so that all context is indexed...I pressed "Alt" to display the "tools" option and then checked the checkbox under "search" to also index file contents.

However, I am really struggling to find a way to get my laptop (Windows 8.1) to do this too despite doing quite a bit of "Googling". Does anyone know how I can search for specific content within a file (for example, if I wanted to find the word "intrinsic" in one of my word documents) in Windows 8.1, or is this only possible in Windows 7? Have you checked Control Panel>Indexing Options? You can get to Control Panel by pressing 'Windows key + X' and selecting Control Panel from opening window.
