When replacing my HP computer with new RAM, Graphics, and Power Supply me and my friends encountered a problem where it will go through the bios, but when the computer tries to start Windows 8 it just reads various error blue screens sometimes reading "kmode exception not handled". but when it doesn't read that one it will just give me the option to try to restart windows again or change start up options. So my first solution was to try and reinstall windows 8 cause i still had the install disk which i bought. unfortunately when i put the disk in, it will recognize it and ask me to press a key to boot from disk, but when i do the windows 8 logo appears and stays there for like 10 minutes then the computer just restarts.

ive had trouble with windows iso's in the past, can i try booting from ubuntu?

So, this is a custom built system but it's HP?

And windows 8 was on it originally and youre trying to reinstall a version of windows 8 you brought right?

If windows 8 is on it now and its crashing press whatever function key to refresh / reinstall it. Thats if it works
