Hello!

When I start my windows I get the bsod saying "your pc ran into a problem and needs to restart" then its reboots its self and it keeps looping this process..

I first tought of a Hard drive failure but when I'm running a hd component test is says it passed and works fine.

Then I tried to boot from my windows recovery partition and my windows repair usb but both give me the same loop..

I'm kind of lost and have no idea whats going on. I googled a lot and there are some people with the boot loop problem. But most people get it fixed with the recovery usb..

Hope anyone knows what else I can do..

Greetings,

Merijn

well I cant boot in save modus since it crashes before I can select it. When i boot up I see the HP (my laptop manufactor) logo. then it crashes. so running a hw monitor isnt a option since it retstarts before windows is loaded.

OKe great!~will give that a try when I'm home. But still I think this wont make any diffrent since it wont even boot up the repair usb. But gonna give it a try anyway! thanx for the reply and will post the result in a few hours.

I had this problem when I was playing a game called "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare". My PC suddenly shut down while I was playing the game, and after that, I booted and that hell of an error came up. And it goes in loops. The first time it happened to me, I just let my laptop rest for a while, thinking it's just an overheating issue. But the next day, it is still restarting in loops. I tried to boot on the recovery CD of Windows 8.1 but still no hope. The error still comes up. The next moment, I really got irritated and removed my laptop battery. And I remembered that there is something that I read in the past that if your PC have problem, refresh it by doing this:
1.) Remove the battery of your laptop.
2.) Do not connect AC Power Supply/ Charger.
3.) Press the power button for like 20 seconds or more, if you are that kind of angry.
4.) Start the laptop without battery by powering it up via AC.

These magical steps did the trick. The second time it happened to me when my PC crash again, and the restart loop happened, this trick really works. Very helpful. I remember this trick is like deleting your BIOS memory or something. I did not remember anything.
So, I just want to share my experience with my laptop. By the way, my laptop is an Acer 4755G, with Windows 8.1 installed on it.
Good luck Guys! 😀
(Filipino here! 😀 Hohohoho.)
