Windows 8 laptop stuck in loading screen

Today I shutdown my laptop by pulling the power cord. After that I tried to turn it on but now it is stuck in the loading screen. I waited to the diagnosis screen then repair and it didn't solve it.

Probably the hard drive is damaged, how can I save the files?

I can't. I press ESC but only appears the loading windows screen

Also the hard drive makes the same sound over and over again like stuck. Not very loud but you can hear it.

I had a similar problem in the past and I was able to work around it by turning the drive on its side so that it wouldn't get stuck. Otherwise if the drives arm is stuck there really isn't much else you can do about it.

How do you turn the drive on a side? you mean physically moving the laptop?

Oh yeah laptop.... You could turn the laptop on its side I guess. When I had the problem it was with a desktop but it won't hurt anything to turn the laptop on its side and power it on.
