So I have a windows 8 ASUS Laptop and I want to install windows 7 on my secondary internal hard drive. When I go to install it on the empty drive, it says it "can't be installed to this disk. This computer's Hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu." Is there a way to allow my computer to boot from my secondary HDD so I can install Windows 7?

Windows 8 on a laptop works in UEFI protected mode and on GPT partition table.
Windows 7 works in classic unprotected mode and on MBR partition table.
If you have a separate HDD it can work but you need to disable UEFI from BIOS in order to install and run Windows 7 and re-enable it again when starting Windows 8.
