Windows 8 not letting me install on hard drive

Just finished building my first computer and tried to install windows 8. Well, it's not allowing me to install it on my hard drive because, "the computers hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computers bios menu." I've been trying to solve this for the past few hours and I would be very grateful to a solution.

The answer is probably in your BIOS, need to find your mobo manual and check for Hard Drive controls other than Boot Order
