Windows 8 or 7 for gaming?

Actuallyi like start8 but when i turn on my pc i dont want that wierd startup.

I really like Windows 8/8.1 it is as far as I am concerned the best Windows OS so far. I have not installed any Start Menu hack crap and never would I find them useless. But then I never used the Start Menu in Windows 7 anyway it was always useless.

There isnt much difference between the 2 OS in terms of gaming for most games

I'd recommend 8 over 7 if buying a brand new OS

You can set Windows 8.1 to boot straight to the desktop so you don't have to go to the modern UI screen on system startup.
