I've moved from 4x4gb to 2x4gb + 2x8gb and Windows 8 Pro detects 20GB (16 available).
Looked for "enable memory remapping" in BIOS and didnt find anything like it.
CPU-Z detects the ram just fine.
MB supports 32gb btw.
