Windows 8 product key problem

hey guys i brought windows 8 off Microsoft just windows 8 digital download

anyway just build a fresh custom computer my question is

do i need to buy another windows 8 for it? or?
i can use the one i brought of Microsoft ?

the computer im using now will neva be used again that's why im asking can you like transfer a key or something?

Hi Irish since you have used your product key once , using it again on another computer will not be authenticated by windows server. On the other hand install it on the new computer use the key and it will say it that the key is being used by another computer. Then go to the option that have you made any change in the hardware recently and it will show contact Microsoft help line. Explain your problem to the Microsoft guy. If he accepts it he will authenticate your OS over phone. Try your luck.

If you bought Windows 8 (not just an OEM version on an HP or Dell or whatever) you can move it to another computer by first removing it from the old machine. It often takes a phone activation, but it is not a big deal. HERE are some comments that explain how to easily remove the key from the old machine. It is a bit more complicated with an update version, but you can still do it.

cheers guys i just rang em the other day and yep they fixed it up for me i just told em what i had done and they said cool this is ya key and gg all works now =D
