I bought a new har drive 1tb and a ssd 120 fb, i also bought the windows 8.1 professional cd. I have AsRock 970 extreme3 motherboard. I installed the hardrive and ssd and the I can see in the uefi bios that I have but everytime I exit that it says reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key , after I press a key it just repeats the same phrase I've tried doing so many different things but nothing works

Solution
I would do a clean install with only the SSD attached (attach the HDD after the OS is installed and running). When Windows 8 starts up for the installation do a custom install and as a first step delete all existing partitions on the SSD and then install to the remaining single unpartitioned space.

Also before starting check to see that your bios is the most current and that the boot device selections are correct prior to the installation.
