I've never used Windows 8 before and my brother had me look at his laptop that wasn't booting.
We tried using the refresh/repair a few times and nothing worked. We tried to reset it either crashed or something happened to where it shut off. Now turning it back on we can't even get into the options to perform another "reset".
Of course, he has no installation discs for Windows 8 and no copy of his product key.
Is there ANY way we can recover this key even though we can't boot it?
