Windows 8 screen goes black after login

It boots up then asks for my password on the screen i type it in and about 30 seconds later the screen goes completely black
At first i thought it was the computer that shut off but its just the screen

Try booting into safe-mode and reinstalling your graphics drivers. That usually fixes things

Turns out my bios setup was changed on my computer i restored it to default and it seems to have fixed the situation
