windows 8 stuck finalizing your settings

So thats whats on the screen on my laptop i was installing win8 from usb everything was going smooth now its on the last part and got stuck if i power it off and power it back on it goes straight back to this. I have scoured google for hours but no solution. I NEED HELP I HAVE A USELESS LAPTOP AS OF RIGHT NOW

Also if you have a way to save me please be detailed im no pc expert

6 hours have passed still on a pink screen saying finalizing your settings....

have you waited for an hour at least for the black screen to disappear on it's own?

i had this same problem. Finally found the solution. Follow the guide though you process ID might be different from mine
