Windows 8 stuck in repair loop

I was turning off my computer last night by holding down the power button, I accidentally removed my finger before it had shut down and then started to hold it down again until it turned off i then restarted my laptop and it started on the bios screen i pressed escape and selected exit without saving, my laptop then started preparing automatic repair and then started diagnosing problems, it came up with a screen that said automatic repair couldn't repair your pc, i went to the log file that it said that it had saved it in using command prompt and it said that automatic repair was not compatible with my operating system, and help would be greatly appreciated, i have also tried to reset my computer however it says that the drive windows is installed on is locked

This user had a somewhat different problem to me, as such this information does not help me
