I installed some windows updates last night and I come to use my PC this morning, my motherboard outputs a message saying overclocking fail... So I declock and restart now every time I boot to windows 8.1 it sits on a black screen after the loading logo has gone

Specs:
i7 3770K
16GB RAM
128GB SSD + 2TB HDD
Asus P8Z77-V LK

I removed the other 16GB of RAM and my graphics card.. Still nothing

I'm not sure what is going any help is appreciated thanks

stop the system and unplug the 2 tb then restart system alone to see how it boot and if boot is normal then stop system and plug in back the 2 tb in to see if it will give you back the d for it . you could have corrupted os files .
I have now managed to reboot into windows however Windows has renamed my 2TB data HDD to E:\ instead of D:\ somehow meaning most of my programs and everything has disappeared . I cannot get onto Computer Management because Explorer.EXE says Device is not ready... Does anyone know how to rename the drive letter?
