Windows 95 & Norton Utilities 200

I recently installed Norton Utilities 2000 on a Windows 95 PC. It installed OK, picking up a few errors on running Systen Check, which Norton repaired. I ran Speed Disk, but after 4 hours it was still running, (4.3GB HDD). I cancelled and rebooted, everything OK. I then ran Norton Optimisation Wizard, after automatically rebooting, Windows would not start, saying that various .VXD files were corrupted, suggesting a reinstall of Windows 95. I did this, but got the same message. I noted the corrupted files and copied them to a floppy from another 95 PC. I copied them to the HDD through DOS, but still get the same error message, Reinstalled 95 again, no difference.
Any ideas?

Norton may not like Win95, tempremental damn proggie anyway in my opinion. Get win 98se, better o/s for todays programs.
Have a look at other virus/firewall programs.
