Windows 98 legacy machine R7 240

If this is an old computer with Windows 98 and you have purchased the R7 240 thinking you could get it to work I must say you are out of luck. I'd suggest getting a light weight version of Linux and installing it as a replacement for Windows 98, then your new graphics card will work.

I want to run far cry on the machine and it doesnt run properly on windows. I have a number of games that wont run in compatibility mode. Some people seem to be able to get it work but not me. A lot of older games struggle. The ideal would be XP but I keep contacting microsoft and they wont sell me a licence. Everywhere i have looked, the XP licences that are so sale look dodgy.
