Hello guys. I just built a retro pc, but i am facing some driver issues.
I installed Win98SE by my father's old disc.
Specs are:
DFI P2XLX Rev2
Mendocino Celeron 333Mhz
256mb samsung sd ram
MX440SE
and some PCI cards(with which i am having issues)
SoundBlaster Live 5.1 SB0100
Chronos(ik :p) PCI2USB, which uses a VIA VT6212L chip.
So i found an iso of the original SoundBlaster disc, and drivers for the VIA chip, but when i start the install, i get an error that says that the setup did not find any supported cards on the system. They are both installed on the motherboard, and i can see them in device manager. I also tried to reinstall the drivers by pointing device manager to the driver folder, but still nothing.
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but i have never used Win98 much. I was 2 years old when they came out.
Thanks in advance!
I uploaded some pics!

Thank you once again. I tried the link, but i get an error. But its ok, because i was lucky enough to find the original driver disc :D But i am so unlucky that my dvd drive just died :p It worked like a charm a few hours ago that i installed windows.
I will borrow a drive, and try to install it through the CD.
As for the sound blaster, i have deleted the disc files from the HDD, so i have to re-copy the whole thing. 300MB via USB 1.1 is kinda painfull, so i will try it after i get the usb 2.0 card working.
Once again, thanks for your help!!

Well, i used my old laptop to copy the files from the original disc. While it was copying(damn, usb 1.1 is the only bad part about these retro machines), i added an intel PCI ethernet adapter, just because i had it. I didnt mean to connect to the internet. Right after i installed the driver for it, i got a bsod. And i am now getting bsod on boot. Time to reformat i guess.
I visited the link, selected my OS and Card, but it says:
due to licensing agreements, a VIA USB2 driver package cannot be distributed online. Driver support for VIA USB 2.0 controllers requires Windows XP SP1 (Service Pack 1), Windows 2000 SP4, or system upgrade through Windows Update.
The VIA USB2 driver package below can be installed after the Microsoft driver to further improve device compatibility.

I hope the CD files are going to work :D
Thank you, once again for the help
