Ok, so here's my delema, I have an old windows 7 key that is unused and i want to use it to activate windows 10 on my new computer, but my motherboard got put on backorder and wont arrive before the windows 10 free upgrade period ends on the 29th. I was thinking i could make a windows 10 bootable flashdrive using microsofts "media creation tool" then take the drive out of my old computer and swap it with my new one and boot that old comouter from the flash drive, activate windows, then switch the drives back so i have windows 10 on my new drive for use in my new computer.
Question time:
1. Would this even work
2. Will windows stay activated when i put the drive in my new build
3. What are the potential risks of doing this
