Windows Aero is not working..

Hello. Yesterday I was messing around trying to get a dual monitor desktop to work and I turned on 16 bit color for a minute and turned it back off since I didn't know what it was, but after I did that it messed up Aero. There is no option to enable Aero in performance options, the option to enable it in personalize is grayed out, I've tried all the DWM fixes etc. None worked. Please help!!!

System specs:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
CPU: i5 3570k
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970 w/ latest drivers
Mobo: Asus PBz77 V
1TB HDD
8GB ram
