Hi,

When I go to sleep I like to keep my PC on to play some music. Because
I don't want to keep the computer on all night after I fall asleep I use 'Wise
Auto Shutdown' to shutdown the computer automatically after a given amount
of time. Can this be harmful to my system and/or hardware in the long run or
is the system being shutdown correctly with this kind of software?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

By "Wise auto shutdown" I believe you are saying that the pc power shuts off and when you turn it back on, it is able to resume right from where you left off. This is also known as hibernation mode, and no it cannot harm your system because it saves everything into the memory until you decide to power your pc back on

No it's an actual app (http://www.wisecleaner.com/wise-auto-shutdown.html) It functions just like a regular shutdown (as in I have to cold reboot after) but automated (or on a timer).

Oh, these are just fine don't worry. I have a program called AMPwinoff, it shuts down the pc correctly.

In other words, no it would not damage your system in any way.
(Note) Never launch it to shutdown while the pc is updating through windows update, It can force a shutdown with the updates installing and corrupt the system)
