Windows before installing gpu

Does it matter if I already installed windows before I put in the gpu and if it does what can I do to fix it.

No, not really.

Windows will detect the GPU once you've installed it - and then you head to either NVidia or AMDs website (depending on the card you have) and download the appropriate driver for your OS.
