So I just bought a new Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB. I installed windows 10 on it and then formatted my old SSD (which I thought would delete my old windows 10). But now when I try to boot up from my Samsung 850 Evo it won't recognize that windows in on there. The only thing that shows up is the old boot manager on my old ssd. Windows is installed on my new SSD though (disk 0 or C: ) but why is the windows boot manager on my old ssd? How does this even work? And how do I get the boot manager on my new ssd? Thanks

Solution
Because you installed the OS with multiple drives connected.

Since it is a brand new install, redo it.
With only the desired drive connected.
Later, reconnect the others and delete all the partitions. Not just "reformat".

So what ur saying is I create a new partition on my 850 evo and install windows on that? If so how big should i make the partition?

usually a SSD is left unpartitioned, because some cells will degrade faster then others (OS partition will have more writes on it), so you will end up c: having 150-200 mb/s and d: 500-550 mb/s. Just delete all partition and create a new one from the unallocated space, then windows will create a very small partition, let it create it.
