Am helping a friend fix his computer. He said it was BSOD on bootup so I took it with me and ran Windows repair using a USB device. It booted up properly, so I took out my usb drive, tested it again, and it all booted up. Delivered the computer back to him and he said it BSOD on startup again.
I took it back, ran the repair and it worked fine. Unplugged it and plugged it back in, and it BSOD again.
Anybody know what might be going on?
It's an older computer, but it does have an SSD in it.
The two boot errors I saw were
PC/Device needs to be repaired.
Application or OS couldn't be loaded because required file is missing or contains errors.
File: \windows\system32\winload.efi
Error Code: 0x000000e
The Boot Configuration Data file doesn't contain valid information for an OS.
File: \BCD
Error Code: 0x0000098
Again, the windows repair does fix it and as long as it isn't unplugged, it works correctly. But as soon as I turn it off, unplug it and then plug it back in, it returns to the blue screen, making me think it's some sort of hardware issue.
Thanks for any help provided!
