Hi,

I just built my computer and I put in Windows 10 64-bit (on my disc). I put it in, and it said that it had downloaded everything for Windows 10 and then the computer restarted. It took me to the BIOS screen (MSI), and the Windows 10 waiting circle appeared. I let it load, and followed the prompts until it said "Where do you want to install Windows"? and I clicked on my SSD, but it did not let me. It just says Windows can't be installed on drive 0 partition 2 (show details).

I believe I already have. Before it said that it had downloaded everything for Windows 10. It only lets me download it to my HDD, which I don't want.

It already has been installed on partition 1. It says that 319/500MB on drive 0 partition 1 have been used. On the SSD, it says that 10GB have been used on it.

It only lets me download it on the HDD.

I'm also doing a custom install because this is a brand new computer. Do you recommend me doing that?

Yes windows needs to be on the primary partition (partition 1) on the main drive. Windows will select the drive it is installed on as the main drive.

if you are using 2 different drives, 1x HDD and 1 SSD as an example, disconnect the second drive ( just the sata cable is fine) which would be the HDD in the example I gave and install the OS this will elevate many issue during install and down the line if a drive fails.

Ok, I will try that out and see if it works.
