I've got a persistent issue....an established machine, about 4 years old, upgraded to win10 pro, has begun giving this error message:
"Windows could not complete the installation. To install windows on this computer, restart the installation."
As was said, this system was running fine. Steps completed:
1. Attempted repair from windows bootable
2. Secpol.msc troubleshooting
3. Compmgmt.msc troubleshooting
4. Msoobe.exe troubleshooting
5. Changed password
6. Added guest user
7. Clean install of windows 10 pro
8. New SSD with clean install of windows 10 pro
9. Various Bios settings, disable secure boot, disable fast boot, uefi boot vs legacy, no luck.
I'm stumped, even with a brand new install, I still get this message after a day or so. The user was on vacation last week, so I got the machine all up and running, installed new drivers, restarted no problem. She came into work this morning, and said the error was up again.
Any ideas what is causing this?
