Hello everybody,

yesterday, I built my first gaming pc.

Everything booted up, I installed windows, all of the necessary drivers and played Overwatch. This morning, when I oppened my pc, it gave me the Windows could not load correctly message. I tried everything that I could do except system restore. I didn't want to do the System Restore option as it would have brought my pc to the first day, when I had nothing on it. I decided to see if I could reinstall Windows 10 so I did. But after the installing messages, it just gave me a dark blue screen. I think it installed Windows really badly. I don't know what to do as I can't do anything. I would like to try to install Windows again but I can't even get into the BIOS at the start. Either it gives the dark blue screen with nothing on it or it gives me the Windows could not load correctly message. I have tried everything I know and have checked the internet. I'm really stuck and don't know what to do. I am thinking of buying a new hard drive. Would that work since it would be clean and will I be able to install Windows on it without any problems?. Will I be able to access my BIOS? Should I format my HDD and do a clean install of Windows on it, or will my BIOS still be messed up?

System specs :

CPU : Intel Pentium G4560
MOBO : B250M PRO-VD
GPU : GTX 1050 2GB x Gaming
RAM : HyperX Fury Black 8gb (1 stick)
HDD : Western Digital 1TB 3.5`7200
PSU : EVGA 450B 80+

system restore isn't anything to be scared of, it just rolls back system settings. What you are thinking of is reset

find manual for board or download it from MSI - https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B250M-PRO-VD#down-manual

the key to access bios is Del but it could be you have secure boot and MSI Fast boot set meaning it will not show the boot screen and go straight to windows. Have a look on page 15 of manual about resetting CMOS, it will likely take you into the BIOS to reset defaults afterwards giving you a chance to add USB to boot order so you can reinstall win 10

try a clean install and see if it works this time. If you still get the blue screen, we will have to work out why
boot from installer
follow this guide: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1950-windows-10-clean-install.html

when you reach the screen asking for licence, click "I don't have a key" and win 10 will continue to install and reactivate once finished

On the screen where you choose where to install win 10, if it gives you an error about GPT drives, delete all the partitions on the hdd and press next. If it still gives error, cancel out of the installer and restart PC and start installer again, it will accept next on that screen this time (some PC just need a restart here).

Thank you so much for trying to help me out with this problem! I actually managed to make it work, after trying to install Windows 2 times, I decided to wait, after 1 day I tried reinstalling Windows and it worked! I don't know why and how it did, but it did!

Sorry for the late response.
