Windows crashes after installation of graphic card drivers

hi Guys

I have installed my new card (zotac 650 ti amp edition 2gb ddr 5) and when i install the drivers from the zotac site:

320.49-desktop-win8-win7-winvista-64bit-english-whql.exe

or

320.49-desktop-win8-win7-winvista-64bit-international-whql.exe

on restart after welcome screen took me to blue screen crash

Please help me on this 🙁

My PC

i7 sandy bridge
asrock extreme 6
8 gb ddr3 ram
power supply 700w

What OS are you on and is it 32bit or 64? Have you tried the drivers straight from nvidia? Fully uninstall the zotac drivers plus any others that might be present from your previous card, then install the most recent drivers straight from nvidia. Make sure to pick the correct OS on the drop down menu when downloading your driver. If it still doesn't work try the beta driver.

OS is windows 7 64 bit

Yup i tried drivers straight from nvidia site and also from zotac site

yup also uninstalled the old drivers and then tried installing the new drivers.

Okie will try the beta drivers now and come back

Check for a BIOS update for the motherboard, and just to rule things out, try running on 4gig of RAM if it's on two sticks. Try both sticks one at a time (again if you have two of them hehe).

If you can, try the card in another computer.

I've seen bad cards cause crashes soon as the real drivers are loaded. I am thinking if you start the system in Safe Mode, it's stable correct?

Tried the beta version driver no luck..

updating my windows and it has a driver for my card so i am tryng this method 🙁

Installing through windows update also did not work 🙁

Motherboard has the updated BIos

Tried running on 4gig stick did not work, tried alternate sticks :S

i have to try installing the card of another pc and see if it works there 🙁 ... wat abt re installing windows ?? will that help ??

What was your old card? An amd? If it was try to uninstall the amd drivers with driver sweeper. If not drive sweep your nvidia drivers and re install again.

There was no old card i was using the on board. This is my new card

I tried uninstalling the old drivers and then installing the new drivers no luck

it is entirely possible the card is DOA, you won't know for sure until you try it in a friends system though. :/

i have tried it on my friends pc... got a new card installed today and i see the same problem 🙁

run restore to a date before you update from zotac website or date before installing graphic card.

and restart, next install driver from cd.
