Hi,

So I've been trying to fix my brothers PC for 2 days now and have no clue where to go anymore. After fixing all other issues i decided to try running 1 core which somehow fixed pc and can run fine as well as in games. As soon as I change Core count to 2 or 4 the pc either black screens or crashes inside windows after a few moments.

A few things I've tried:
  • Bios Update
  • Bios Reset
  • Check Event Viewer
  • Set RAM voltages lower
  • Check windows integrity
  • Reinstall Windows 10
  • Try another HDD

I just don't understand why I'm unable to run multiple cores despite temperatures being around 30 - 40 degrees in windows from 1 core. If anyone has any suggestions that would be appreciated!

PC Spec:
corsair vs450
r9 270x
intel dq57tm motherboard
xeon x3430

Solution
Try in first to load it with the local GPU (on motherboard) if possible while the r9 is out to confirm that PSU has enough power.
