windows creators update wont instal on computer

windows creators update downloads to computer,begins instal,but then a blank screen.when i reboot it reverts to the previous version of windows 10.what is the problem?

what are specs of PC?

Have you tried downloading the Windows 10 media creation tool and use it to update PC? You can also get it to make a USB and use the USB instead to update (saves downloaidng files multiple times).

shortly (next few days) there is a new version of win 10 so could just wait for it and skip 1 version.

hi colif specs are acer aio i7 2.4hz 8gb ram. i had the same problem when updating to w10 as updating to creators. i went to a tech guy who installed w10.i haven't tried the w10 media tool.cheers jimc

Did the tech delete everything off C when he installed it last time? did you have to install any programs again? Depending on answer, we can likely do the same without paying any money out.

I would buy an 8gb USB drive and use the media creation tool to make a USB. Its always handy to use as a boot disk and you can always format USB and use it for something else later. I always have a win 10 installer around, just in case.

I would copy anything off C you don't want to lose. Updates can go wrong so its always handy to have backups

If you having same problem as before i have to assume the tech just got the update to stick, instead of clean installing win 10 as its unusual to get same problems again

depends which creators edition we are talking about. 1703 that came out 6 months ago or 1709 that came out today
