What are network credentials. Is the username the name of the computer, or is it that username microsoft uses your email.

Just trying to see shared drives from desktop to laptop. It worked 4 months ago till window 10 upgrades.

It would be a login and password. It could be "Joe" and "password" but it would be whatever you can login to a host as.

You can make a new user (non-admin, non-microsoft) account on the computer hosting the files. Share the folder as normal.

Then on your other computer, just type in the credentials of the new account you created on the host computer to log in.
