windows cumulative updates 1709 breaking so many things...am I alone in this?

Have you downloaded the 1709 updates for windows?

I'm on a ASRock x399 Taichi with a AMD 1950x and there are SO many issues that I can't tell if its the new hardware growing pains or windows.

My Creative Z sound card has sound stutter over the toslink with DTS connect 5.1

my USB ports are going crazy!!! Everything is just connecting and disconnecting non stop. especially on my USB 3.0 hub. its stopped for now, but things just randomly disconnect and reconnect.

Sometimes there is just total system stutter for the most random reasons - like using my USB mic for voice chat in video games (TF2)

all my drivers are up to date and BIOS as well.

is anyone else having crazy issues too?

various things contributed to these issues. most have been resolved in various ways independent of each other. this thread can be closed.
