[SOLVED] Windows cursor pops up periodically in source games

Hello! My issue is as follows:
The windows mouse cursor pops up in the center of the screen for a fraction of a second, seems to happen with random timing, once every several minutes. This happens mostly in source games, but in several others as well, such as Witness.
I'm running Win10, all updates and drivers up to date.

try making sure the games are running in Fullscreen and not Windowed(Borderless).
also make sure there aren't any unneccesary applications running in the background.
