Windows defender keep or?

Does anyone here use windows defender and is it any good? Seems to take up a lot of memory and a lot of cpu power when it's running through it's scans. Also do you leave the real time scanners on?

Defender + paid for subscription to malwarebytes seems okay for me, I've had issues with Defender on it's own though.

windows defender is virus scanner that is included with windows. it is not recommended to disable it if you do not have any other virus scanner installed on your computer.

Personally, i have disabled it from the windows settings permanently, so it doesn't even run in the background. I use the Panda Free Antivirus for real-time protection and if i spot something i download the trial of Malware Bytes to eliminate the threat along with some other tools if it's a pain in the ass to remove. I suggest downloading the Avira Free Antivirus, it's one of the best free ones you can get for real-time scanning, i don't have installed it cause it causes some bugs with my programs for some reason, but i have it on my other PCs. I use Windows Defender exclusively, it works very well with very minimal resources.
